Best Angelina Jolie Movies

The below best movies featuring Angelina Jolie was chosen based on her performances, audience reaction, awards and also the entertainment value of the movie.
Putting together a list of the ten best Angelina Jolie films will not be an easy task.

I think it's you and me? See it.

10. Gone in 60 Seconds (2000)

This film is the result of flowing together a flimsy storyline, great direction and best echelon actors like Angelina Jolie, Nicholas Cage and Robert Duvall. This plot is all about a retired car thief Nicholas Cage that has to steal fifty cars for four days simply because his brother messed up the job. I just adore the adrenaline rush I get from watching it!

9. The Bone Collector (1999)
This is a great film with a fantastic cast. If you are an Jolie film lover, you will understand that. because she can act out any role incredibly. Jolie plays a police officer with a knack for 'forensics'. Between the 2 of them, they try to apprehend a serial killer who simply leaves clues behind.

8. Mr. & Mrs. Smith (2005)
I believed this movie was a lot of fun to watch. I'm sure right now we can almost all agree that Brad Pitt and Jolie have crazy chemistry, and they are beautiful on the big screen. Very pretty lady and she did a great job when acting with weapons and in the fight scenes. She had amazed me, definitely.

7. Lara Croft: Tomb Raider (2001)
Lara Croft is a successful, British antiquities hunter, who journeys to unusual places, looking for items and artifacts in historic tombs and ruins. She is qualified in hand-to-hand fight, in handling guns and she speaks many international languages. Angelina Jolie an Oscar winner is definitely a reputable actress and went through three months of preparing training to become this movie hero.

6. Alexander (2004)
Oliver Stone, who directed and wrote the script for the movie, did an excellent job re-creating the life of Alexander the Great. So why does not she grow older at all during Alexander's life. Angelina Jolie provides a remarkably reassuring performance as Alexander's manipulative mom and provide us reassurance of the reason why she took home the Oscar that nighttime. General, this is a nice, action-packed movie.

5. Salt (2010)
Once again, Angelina Jolie does a great job of performing the main character in an action movie. Her role is credible, and powerful. Only a few woman actresses could pull off a hard-hitting action role such as this.

4. Wanted (2008)
A simple and spectacular action thriller from the director of the "Night Watch" trilogy Timur Bekmanbeton. This is a very reduce adaptation of the questionable cult graphic book "Wanted" by Mark Millar as it provides for us a stunning and often funny yet ultraviolet look at being a frustrated man with rage within him.

3. The Tourist (2010)
Two giant stars, Johnny Depp and Jolie, team up to help to make "The Tourist," a 2010 movie directed and moderately published by Florian Henkel von Donnersmarck, who directed the wonderful "The Lives of Others.

2. Girl, Interrupted (1999)
Jolie won Best Supporting Actress for performing Lisa, a sometimes enormous and constantly interesting patient there because of her anti-social personality. Lisa is the character everybody will at the same time hate and empathize with. Think about a Sociopath, she definitely fits the mold. Angelina does a fantastic job convincing us she is mad.

1. Changeling (2008)
I think it is very unusual that Angelina Jolie could display such a spectacular performance. The movie has the kind of script that does not really flow but in it's natural stillness the movie finds something quite impressive. Jolie's for ages been at best a second-rate actress but this film's impressive end were able to sinch lots of emotions out of me.

Your Mission, To Win the Christmas Box Office

Christmas weekend offered a bit of hope for the box office as five new movies opened in wide release and another one expanded after a solid opening weekend, although for the most part, returning movies did much better business than some of the new releases.

Opening in IMAX theaters last weekend and grossing enough to take third place, Brad Bird's Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol (Paramount), starring Tom Cruise, Jeremy Renner, Paula Patton and Simon Pegg, expanded into 3,023 theaters nationwide on Wednesday with $8.9 million and held up that business through the weekend to end up with estimated $46.2 million over the four-day weekend and $78.6 million total after 11 days in theaters. That was lower than the three-day opening of the franchise predecessor Mission: Impossible III in May 2006, but it's already grossed more money in the same number of days pointing to a higher gross than the $133.4 million made domestically by the third installment.

About $7.4 million of that amount was brought in by the roughly 400 IMAX theaters playing the movie over the four-day weekend, bringing its cumulative IMAX gross in North America to $23 million, which is roughly 31% of the film's total domestic gross. Globally, the movie has grossed $32 million in IMAX venues in the past 11 days, although some IMAX theaters only opened the movie in the last couple days. ComingSoon.net spoke with IMAX President of Filmed Entertainment Greg Foster earlier in the day and were told the company is very enthusiastic about Paramount's decision to roll the movie out in IMAX theaters early, making it the format in which many people want to see the movie. (Having the prologue for Christopher Nolan's anticipated The Dark Knight Rises in front of it probably didn't hurt.) They're seeing very consistent business for the film's IMAX release and they see it playing well into January. They plan on keeping the 70mm IMAX theaters playing even after Screen Gems' Underworld Awakening opens in digital IMAX theaters.

Second place for the weekend went to Guy Ritchie's Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows (Warner Bros.), which brought in an estimated $31.8 million over the four-day weekend to bring its total to $90.5 million in 11 days.

Fox's Alvin and the Chipmunks - Chipwrecked took 3rd place with approximately $20 million over the four-day holiday weekend, having grossed $56.9 million since opening last week.

David Fincher's adaptation of the bestselling novel The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (Sony), starring Daniel Craig, Rooney Mara and Christopher Plummer, also opened on Wednesday with $5.1 million, dropped to $3.3 million on Thursday and the studio is estimating $19.4 million for the movie over the extended weekend with roughly $13 million of that from Friday through Sunday. It has grossed $27.8 million in its first six days.

Director Steven Spielberg had two new movies opening this week and though his wartime drama War Horse (DreamWorks) only opened on Christmas Day Sunday, it ended up coming very close to the business for his animated The Adventures of Tintin (Paramount) in twice as many days and 700 more theaters.

The latter opened on Wednesday in roughly 3,000 theaters, taking fifth place with $2.3 million and picked up a bit of business over the four-day weekend to add another $16.1 million to its six day total of $24.1 million. That's a drop in the bucket compared to the amount made internationally, which amounts to $240 million so far.

War Horse , based on the novel and hit play of the same name, opened on Christmas Day with $7.5 million, an amount it's thought to double on Monday to bring its two-day total to $15 million to take seventh place for the extended weekend. (Personally, we think it will do better on Monday than the other two movies and when the dust clears, we could see War Horse taking fifth place for the weekend with just two days of business.)

Cameron Crowe's family film We Bought a Zoo (20th Century Fox), starring Matt Damon, Scarlett Johansson, Thomas Haden Church and Elle Fanning, opened on Friday in 3,117 theatesr and after a slow start with only $3 million on Friday, it picked up business to end up with an estimated $15.6 million over the four-day weekend, claiming sixth place.

Also opening on Christmas Day in 2,324 theaters, the alien invasion thriller The Darkest Hour made $3 million in its opening day and an estimated $2.5 million on the Monday after Christmas.

Warner Bros.' New Year's Eve added another $5 million over the four-day weekend as it gets closer to the actual date in the title with its total at $34.3 million after three weeks.

As far as the limited releases, Angelina Jolie's Bosnian war film In the Land of Blood and Honey (FilmDistrict) opened in three theaters on Friday to gross $27.8 thousand, roughly $9,300 per venue. Stephen Daldry's drama Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close (Warner Bros.), starring newcomer Thomas Horn, Tom Hanks, Sandra Bullock and Max von Sydow, brought in $136,000 in twice as many theaters after opening on Christmas Day.

(We'll add international grosses and an estimate for Wim Wenders' new performance doc Pina (IFC Films) once they're available.)

Vampires - Blood and Sex on Audio Books

Lou Martiniano
Does it seem like vampires are hot now.
It seems like it but not really. They have been a part of our history for a long time. Some of the very first movies were about vampires and werewolves.
Forever there have been books written about them, movies portraying them and plays about them. Over in Europe there are tales about them carried from one generation to the next. Many of these stories were about events that could not be explained.
But heck who am I to second guess historical events. After all, I am just a writer. But I am also a lover of audio books. And there are almost as many audio books as there are hard cover books about everything.
In this particular case there are hundreds of audio books about vampires and their chasers. There are vampire books about their natural preditors, the werewolf. Without the vampires and their preditors what fun would they be.
As a result, I have provided a fantastic list of vampire audio books and their authors. Most of the authors have multiple vampire chasers books, so if you like a particular author, get more of their books.
My list of ten great vampire audio books and their authors...
"Cerulean Sins" by Laurell K. Hamilton;
Once a sworn enemy of the vampires, Anita finds her self as a vampire now too. She is now the human consort of the master vampire the leopard shapeshifter. But her love life does not stop there. She is consumed by the lust of the vampire and their primal hungers. Her desires must be sated time and time again.
The book is almost sixteen hours long so you really get your money's worth. It is part of "Anita Blake Vampire Hunter".
"Dance of the Gods" by Nora Roberts;
Blair Murphy was raised in a family of demon hunters. She is trying to catch up with a vampire determined to rule the earth. She is gathering together a group to help her do this and trying not to fall in love again. Love has been a demon in her life that cannot be killed or cured, so she tries to avoid the real truth.
This audio book is 10 hours of unabridged terror and passion.
"Dark Slayer: Dark Series, Book 20" by Christine Feehan;
Among the vampires there is a rumor about a persistant dark slayer, a woman who reveals with a pack of hunters looking for vampires to kill. Her reputation has been growing and growing and she is feared among many vampires.
She runs into the one she is fearful of as he evokes love as her life mate. There cannot be any help if she falls for his trickery and becomes a part of him. So she needs the help of her wolf pack.
This audio book is 15 hours long and is unabridged with the love and passions she tries to avoid.
"Dracula" by Bram Stoker;
This is the original Dracula and is registered as #11 in the NPR "Top 100 Killer Thrillers" List. It is a must have to just listen to and to compare how close the movie was to the original.
The Dracula mythology has inspired a vast subculture. The story has never been better told than by Stoker. He succeeds in his aim to terrify. As a result of his story he became an international and of lasting fame as a story writer. This is the book that is a must read if you love vampires and to read about the original vampire Dracula is something you cannot miss.
The audio book is 16 hours of unabridged terror and lust and introduces Van Helsing to the world. The narration is done by the Earphones Award winning Robert Whitfield of BBC fame.
Also, there are more sequels written by Bram Stoker that bring Dracula to England and more confrontations.
"Lifeblood" by PN Elrod;
This is a story about an investigative jouralist in the roaring twenty's of Chicago. A man named Jack Fleming is bitten by a vampire and he becomes one. He finds himself gathering his old friends around him only to find out that there are a group of vampire hunters looking for him. He can't figure out how they know about him but he is concerned for his friends who are not vampires getting caught in the crossfire to kill him.
So Jack is on a trail to find out who is after him and how to stop them from killing him again.
This book is a great listen to and is almost eight hours long of unabridged excitement.
"Micah" by Laurell K. Hamilton;
Raising the dead is easy but romance is hard. Micah has brought to life a wereleopard so that the FBI can question him about a case they have been working. This wereleopard was killed before he could provide his testimony and is needed now to avenge his death and close the case.
Micah and this wereleoaprd have a history and she is afraid that she will not be able to resist him. Thus the plot thickens.
The audio book is four hours of lust and adventure in an unabridged audio book.
"No Dominion" by Charlie Houston;
This is a story of a vampire who used to be a detective. He has morals and refuses to drink bood from the neck of a victum, so he buys blood to drink instead. There is one problem, he has not had a client for quite a while and is running out of blood and money to buy more.
In desperation he takes a job with a local vampire clan to stop a new drug that hurts their clan. He must find out who is making it and put them out of business.
This audio book is eight and one half hours of unabridged who-dun-it and sexual content.
"The Tangled Skeim" by David Syuart Davies;
Sherlock Holmes meets Dracula. The setting is 1888 London shortly after the Hounds and the Baskervilles Case. There is a newspaper account about young girls in a finishing school who have a mysterious illness that afflicts them and also about young children being attacked and left with bite marks on their necks.
A local lecture by an Amsterdam University Professor was to speak on a subject of vampires. The Professors name is Abraham van Helsing. Holmes goes to the town to find out what is going on only to find that he is being stalked by an assailant who may cost him his life.
The audio book is just a little over five hours.
"Dark Possession" by Christine Feehan;
A woman that has been lured to South America to help a battered woman is in danger of being possessed by a Carpathian man who is about to become a vampire. She is going to be his lover, her predator, her life mate and will never be released once caught in his spell.
So the story will weave it's way throught the troubles of this meeting to be and the results of their meeting.
The audio book is a thirteen hour unabridged book.
"Bloodlist" by PNElrod;
An ace reporter named Jack Flemming is chased by a thug and then shot in the back multiple times only he did not die. He then realizes that he has already died and is now a vampire. He kind of likes it though as he can sleep all day and travel about looking for his murderer during the night. The audio book is his story about being a vampire and chasing down his killer.
The audio book is eight and one half hours of unabridged adventure through the wacky world of the undead.
You now have an idea of what waits for you at audio book stores. If you like or are obsessed with Vampires then you can get your fill of vampire books at an audio book store. Have fun and don't get bitten.

Beauty and the Beast 3D Movie 2012 Reviews

Directed by two directors Gary Trousdale, Kirk Wise Beauty and the Beast 3D Movie is the remake of the classic version after 19 years of Beauty and the Beast. This movie has Paige O’Hara, Robby Benson, Richard White, Jerry Orbach, David Ogden Stiers in principle characters. The movie is set to be released on 13 January 2012 worldwide.

Beauty and the Beast 3D is from the Disney Pictures who have given us since last more than 50 years. They always create spellbound cinema like Beauty and the Beast 3D. This is a fairytale that viewers will enjoy like never before in new 3D format. In Beauty and the Beast 3D, Beast was actually a young prince but he was turned into a monster as he was punished and transformed by beautiful enchanress in disguise. Being turned into an actual beast was an interesting allegory, as it reflected his ugly personality. In Beauty and the Beast 3D beatiful belle played her part very well.

Movie Review: We Bought a Zoo (2011)

We Bought a Zoo is too lighthearted and silly for its own good, gaily adapted from a memoir about the real life Benjamin Mee and his purchase and renovation of a dilapidated zoo. Death, grief and recovery make their way into the screenplay, but in sadly small doses. Due to Cameron Crowe's name being behind the writing and directing, there was some initial Oscar buzz, but the only time the film is even slightly awards-worthy palatable is when characters argue. The script isn't demanding enough for the actors and many of the roles seem miscast.

Damon is watchable (the rest of the cast is not, save for Thomas Haden Church), but depth, poignancy, and serious drama elude every part. Even the momentary romances appear forced and inauthentic. The worst offense, however, is the hopelessly contrived conclusion, which screams of fairy-tale goofiness. How fantastical does a movie about the renovation of a rundown zoo need to be?

Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol Is The Most Action Packed MI Movie Yet

Tom Cruise is at it again, and the latest edition of the "Mission Impossible" series. In Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol, Ethan Hunt, played by Tom Cruise, has assembled a brand-new team in order to assist him to enlist a plethora of new recruits, which include Simon Pegg. These new recruits have been assembled in order to clear the IMF's name after it has been wrongly blamed for a plot that has released a number of bombs around the globe. As the organization goes into a complete shutdown, Ethan Hunt and his team are forced to go undercover, without any help, without any contacts and definitely no limits in their most difficult assignment that they have ever had.

Story of Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chip-Wrecked Movie Available

There is chipmunk gambling. There is seductive dancing by Chipettes wearing only towels. There is a musical gag involving the lyric "whip my tail back and forth." How Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwreckedended up with only a G rating is a mystery.

Alvin, Theodore, Simon and the gal pals they picked up earlier in the franchise are back, and their human minder, Dave (Jason Lee), comes up with the not-very-bright idea of taking them on a cruise. (The Carnival line gets perhaps the largest product placement in film history.)

The whole gang ends up shipwrecked on a tropical island, along with the nefarious Ian (David Cross, who near the end delivers the film's funniest speech) and lots of references to the Tom Hanks movie "Cast Away" that will elude the 5-year-olds in the audience.

The Chipmunks' pop song covers are meticulously arranged. Their fur is animated with care. Then Alvin makes a tween-baiting ''honey badger'' reference or slips into an ill-advised impersonation of a Latino thug (no, really), and Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked reverts to nothing more than a cynical stab at grabbing kids' attention—and, more importantly, their parents' cash.

Also on the island is Jenny Slate (playing a character named Zoe), who may have been exiled there after using the worst possible swear word in her first show as a member of the "Saturday Night Live" cast in 2009. No swear words here; just harmless fun. A particularly nice touch: Some of the 'munks change personalities as a result of a spider bite. Alvin the Responsible? Believe it.

Noteworthy names provide some of the animated voices — Justin Long, Christina Applegate, Amy Poehler — though that money might have been better spent elsewhere. Once they're run through the chip-erator, these familiar voices are of course unrecognizable.

At rare moments, you get the impression that some of the people involved in the movie actually put thought into their work. The Chipmunks' pop song covers are meticulously arranged. Their fur is animated with care.

In their third big-screen adventure, the gang -- which now includes three harmonizing chipmunks, three dance-happy Chipettes, and their harried father figure (Jason Lee) -- tries for a relaxing cruise and ends up scavenging for mangoes alongside a brain-fried castaway ("SNL" vet Jenny Slate).

Review of Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol (2011

Even though there are minor references made to the previous films in this franchise, Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol feels less like a sequel and more of a reboot. With Brad Bird at the helm, this film delivers an epic sized display and the intense action is non stop and serves to keep the adrenaline at a high. The return of Tom Cruise is welcome and he reminds us of what an old fashioned action hero is all about.
Thanks to his presence, Ghost Protocol feels like a return to the late 1980's and early 1990's and the films that turned Cruise into the Hollywood powerhouse that he is today. The addition of Simon Pegg to the cast gives the film just the right amount of quirky humor to lighten up even the most dramatic of moments, and never distracts from the heart pumping thrills that are relentless.

Review of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo

Thanks to expertise of David Fincher at the helm, the film noir has turned distinctly white with this stealthy, and steely adaptation of The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo. The staples of the genre are all here, we have familial corruption, sexual sadism and murder, and Fincher has cast them all into a maelstrom of intrigue on a private and remote island where large pale houses loom starkly against the large pale sky.

Friday The 13th Part Two – A Gruesome Horror Movie

There were times in my childhood when I used to have spine-chilling experiences while watching a horror movie. But as years passed by, the more matured I became I realized that most of the horror movies are a part of entertainment i.e. the kind of movies that thrills or scares until you are in the theater. But as soon as you leave the theater or finish watching the movie, the thrill or the scary feeling you have just goes away.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (Part 2) Review

As a kid who's grown up reading and watching the Harry Potter series, I could easily be called an enthusiast. I've said on more than one occasion that J.K. Rowling is responsible for my love of reading. In fact, I have memories of secretly reading Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban under my desk in the sixth grade. I was absolutely enthralled by the series. I attended midnight book releases, movie premieres and often times stayed up late reading the books for the third or fourth time.
When the second part of the last movie was recently released on DVD it was bittersweet. I've been secretly opinionated about the movies but I must say David Yates is an excellent director. I love what he's done with the last four movies, capturing the true enchantment of the series. As the characters have grown older the series itself has also grown darker. Voldemort's return in The Goblet of Fire was a catalyst for the change.
In the latest movie, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (Part Two) the change is clearly evident. It reflects the tone of the book perfectly, even if the movie doesn't completely parallel the book in other ways. Though the movie does start off a little slow, it picks up after the first 20 minutes. Overall it is one of the best in the series. Here are a few of my favorite scenes:

Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance - Marvel Comic's Next Superhero

A few days back while I was watching the celebrity gossip channel TMZ on my TV connected to Dish Network, the promos of the yet to be released Ghost Rider sequel was shown. The sequel Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance follows the life of Johnny Blaze, which is reprised by Nicolas Cage.

The less-than-three-minute trailer was impressive and appealing. Most of the action sequences were worth watchable and awesome. Surprisingly the Marvel Comics and the producers have taken a lot of time for releasing the second installment of this popular franchise. The first installment was released in 2007 and it was a blockbuster hit.

Read DON 2 Movie Review

The chase of cat and mouse has always been exiting and thrilling for people and they love watching things that excites them and keeps them curious about who is going to win the race in the end. Back in year 2006, Farhan Akhtar considered remaking the DON made in year 1978 and came up with ‘Don - The Chase Begins Again'. Later on he decided to make the story ahead and then made the sequel by taking the story to a next level by adding an amazing potential storyline and exceptional action work that turned out to be useful in impressing the audiences and doing something that is more than original.

Don 2 - The Chase Continues happens to be a creative and modern concept as DON will be appearing in several different forms that have never been shown ever before. Furthermore, the movie is going to be available in both 2D as well as 3D formats and other than Hindi it will be available in languages such as Tamil and Telugu.

the chase begins again don

Hollywood is still living in the James Bond mania. In the same way, Bollywood is still adding the craze for Don. The first Don was made in 1978 with Big B, Amitabh Bachchan. Afterwards the movie was remade in 2006 with Shahrukh Khan and an additional tag line, "The Chase Begins". Now Farhan Akhtar is about to release the sequel of Shahrukh Khan Starrer Don on December 23, 2011. Again S
hahrukh and Priyanka Chopra will be seen together in the lead roles.
